“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood is going to get a special visitor behind bars. Amber’s ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, has agreed to let their daughter, Leah, visit her mother in prison,Radar Online reports.
“Just to clear up confusion I had to find out for my daughter, Amber, and myself if it was best for Leah to go where her mommy is and visit,” Gary Shirley wrote on his Facebook page. Gary then confirmed that he would be taking his daughter to see Portwood for the first time in months.
“It is great news. I am happy to hear that Amber will be able to see Leah. It is something that they both need right now in their lives,” Amber Portwood’s brother, Shawn, revealed. “Seeing Leah will be a reminder for Amber that she needs to get healthy and get out of there as quick as she can. It would mean the world to Leah, I am sure. I am just happy that she will not have to ask to see ‘mommy’ anymore.”
While “Teen Mom” cameras won’t be there to capture the moment, fans are happy for Amber, and she’ll likely benefit greatly from seeing her precious daughter’s face. It’s been a struggle for Portwood, but all signs seem to indicate she’s trying to her life together while in prison.
