Amber Portwood’s Jail House Interview Reveals 2nd Suicide Attempt (Video)

Troubled ‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood recently got sentenced to 5 years in prison. Just hours after hearing she’ll be behind bars for years, the MTV star sat down with ABC News, and revealed just how bad her addiction and depression really is.

During the interview, Amber also revealed that she had taken around 30 prescription pills in a short period of time. Fans were not aware of this, but do remember her first attempt at suicide, which will be seen on the upcoming final season of ‘Teen Mom.’

“I took 30 Suboxone [which typically treats opioid addiction] within three days,” she said in an exclusive jailhouse interview with ABC News Wednesday, speaking publicly for the first time about trying to kill herself as her life spiraled out of control.

“The depression took over. I’d just take four to five at a time underneath my tongue, and nod out. I had more than addiction problems. I had, you know, mental problems, too.”

This is so sad. Whether you support Amber, or not, remember that she has a 3-year-old daughter, Leah, who is stuck in the middle of this mess, and likely misses her mother very much. Thankfully, Leah’s father, Gary Shirley, is taking good care of her.
